Peoplefamiliarwiththemattersaytheforthcomingbuildsarelikelytobereleasedtosomedevelopersinthenext48hours,andcarrytheexpectedprefixof10Dxx.ItisnotyetknownwhatissuesApplehopestoaddresswiththelatestupdate.

Amonthago,ApplereleasedMacOSX10.6.2,whichcorrectedaguestaccountbugthatcouldpotentiallydeleteauser'saccountdata,triggeredbylogginginandoutofaguestaccountonaSnowLeopardmachine.TheupdatealsoincludednativesupportfortheMacmaker'snewmulti-touchMagicMouse.

Thatupdatewasinbetaforjustoveramonth,beforeitsreleasetothepubliconNov.9.AtimeframeforthepotentialMacOSX10.6.3releaseisnotyetknown.

UpdatesforSnowLeopardthusfarhavecomequickly.Thenewoperatingsystem,releasedattheendofAugust,sawthe10.6.1updatearrivelessthantwoweekslater.Thenextbuildtookabouttwomonthsbeforeitwasreleased.
